Meet Krista

Krista Weidler is a Hermitage native who now lives in Farrell with her husband. Am former Spanish teacher of 15 years, Krista was forced to retire as a result of multiple ECT treatments she underwent during her mental health journey. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her, she used them an a testimony of resilience, hope, survival, and faith in a God who never fails.

Krista’s passion is to reach people who may fall through the cracks; those who do not quite qualify for government assistance, but still struggle to meet everyday needs. Having once been in the position herself, she understands how difficult it can be to reach out for help. Her heart is to create a welcoming place where people can receive a hand up rather than a handout, experience dignity and compassion, and be reminded that their circumstances do not determine their worth.

Krista believes even difficult circumstances can become the foundation for a positive message of hope and purpose. Outside of her work helping others, she enjoys thrift shopping, painting rocks, and spending time with her friends and family.
